The Lecturers in the Seminar:

Gro Hege Saltnes Urdal (hearing) has, in addition to training in sports and education, education sign language interpreter, and has many years experience in teaching and interpreting. She holds a Masters degree in social work, working as a lecturer at the University of Bergen, the Bachelor of sign language and interpretation, where she is head of section. Interpreters for the deaf-blind and interpretation between sign language and Norwegian is some of what she teaches there. In recent years, her research and development work at the college referred voice interpretation as a condition for Deaf participation and interaction between students and deaf-blind interpreting.

Ingeborg Skaten (hearing) qualified sign language interpreter, has worked as an interpreter for many years and is a former editor of Deaf Journal. She is cand.polit. with a degree in sociology from the University of Bergen, and works as a lecturer at the University of Bergen, the Bachelor of sign language and interpretation. Where she teaches, among other things, in interpreting history and professional ethics, and interpretation between Norwegian and Norwegian sign language. The interpreter's output claims in relation to creating cohesion in interpreted text, is the subject of her ongoing research and development at the college.

Markus Aro (deaf) is a trained interpreter in Helsinki and works full time as an interpreter between the interpreter and international interpreter. In addition, he provides services in proofreading, language-related consulting services and sign language teaching. He runs his own business, "Aro" which operates interpret communication, sign language and translation services.

Peter C. Hauser (deaf) is a clinical neuropsychologist and head of Deaf Studies Laboratory (DSL) at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (RIT), Rochester, USA. There, he guides the deaf, hard of hearing and hearing students in the development and analysis of experimental psychological studies. Since joining as a lecturer at RIT, he has won several awards for outstanding teaching, including distance education, and he has been awarded for promoting diversity and diversity, both within and outside the department. Peter C. Hauser is also one of the editors of the book Deaf Professionals and Designated Interpreters, an important contribution to the understanding of the cooperation between the interpreter and the deaf professional, working life - today.
